The Xiangxi Global Geopark held on-site meeting to promote tourism industry development of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture

On December 16, 2021, the Xiangxi Global Geopark held on-site meeting in Jishou City to promote tourism industry development of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture.The managers from Xiangxi Prefectural Geoparks Administration and Geopark Administration of 7 counties explored the tourism development of the geopark together by means of  field investigation and group discussion.

During the meeting, attendees visited Aizhai Park of the Xiangxi Global Geopark and knew its tourism development planning,seeing the blossom of studying-tour and new tour products such as bungee jumping,wandering above clouds,etc.

After the field investigation, a seminar was held in Xiangxi Global Geopark Museum. During the seminar, representatives of Xiangxi Prefectural Geoparks Administration and Geopark Administration of 7 counties discussed geotourism development from perspectives of talent cultivation, the promotion and the popular science education and explored the way to drive the tourism development of Xiangxi with the brand of Xiangxi Global Geopark.

After the seminar,the attendees also attended the Closing Ceremony of Digital 9th International Conference on UNESCO Global Geoparks, showing a good Xiangxi image to the world.
